CCS First of School, K5-12, August
16th
Work Day Scheduled for Saturday,
August 7th
|
Covenant Presbyterian Church &
Covenant Christian School are
having another workday,
Saturday, August 7th,
from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
We will begin with a
continental breakfast (milk,
juice, coffee, fresh fruit,
doughnuts, muffins, etc.)
for any and all who are here
early and for all who are
here at noon we will have a
fried chicken lunch from Po
Folks.
This will be our final push
prior to school starting on
August 16th to complete the
projects unfinished from the
last work day, and we hope
you can come and join in the
effort. It makes a big
difference when a large
number of people do a number
of small jobs.
We know everyone cannot come
for the whole time, so we
just say
"Come
when you can, leave when you
must, but please come and
help us!"

honoring Caroline Graef on

4:00 pm at the Knetzer home, 805
West 2nd Street, Lynn Haven,
FL. Eric and Caroline are
having a little girl, Charlotte
Ansley and are registered at
Target and Our New Baby.
Church Kitchen Clean-Up
On
Tuesday, August 3rd, we
are planning a Kitchen Clean Up
Day. A good
deep cleaning, re-organizing and
purging is needed before we
begin a new school year and our
Wednesday Night
activities. It's so much easier
to clean up someone else's
kitchen other than your
own--especially with great
fellowship! So anyone that
would like to lend a hand can
meet us in the Kitchen, Tuesday
morning at 9:00 am. We've also
set aside Wednesday, August
4th, to finish up, if
necessary.
If anyone thinks they may have
left a dish or utensil in the
Church Kitchen, please
retrieve
it on Sunday, August 1st.
We'll be removing those items
that are duplicates or
unwanted. Before we donate the
unwanted items, you'll have one
last chance to re-claim items on
Sunday, August 8th on a display
table in the Fellowship Hall.

Mercy Uganda |
|
Mercy Uganda would like to thank
everyone who donated items for our
recent yard sale, and those who came
and shopped in support of the
ministry. We raised over $1,000.00
and are being encouraged to make
this an annual event. Thank you!
Please
pray for us, too, as we prepare for
the September trip. We are working
on the preliminary plans for the
well, and will be getting the
geological survey over the next few
weeks. We pray that we are able to
have the well drilled at least by
our trip in September. We will also
be assisting a medical team who will
travel with us to Kyamagemule (where
the well is being drilled), and
Karamoja. We will also be
building the desks in Kyamagemule
during this trip. The kids
above live in the village of
Kyamagemule where the will will be
built.
Thank you so much for all of your
love, support, and prayers for Mercy
Uganda! |
