Easter Sunday Activities
Easter Sunday is always an exciting day
in the life of the church. Following
Sunday School and before the morning
worship service, we'll enjoy a special
Easter breakfast so hurry into the
Fellowship Hall to allow enough time to
sit and enjoy breakfast casseroles,
fruit and breakfast breads.
During the morning worship
service Pastor Cory's message is based
on Acts 1:3, "The Historical
Resurrection of Jesus Christ." A
special ensemble will sing "At the
Cross", a modern praise song that
will touch your heart with it's
uplifting message.
Our evening service of Lessons and
Psalms will tell the crucifixion and
resurrection story in a unique way
through scripture and the singing of
psalms to traditional and contemporary
tunes. Pastor Bob will deliver the
homily based on Matthew 28:11-15,
"Whom Do You Believe?"
We hope you will devote this Easter
Sunday to worship both morning and
evening. And invite your family and
friends to worship with us.

Adult Sunday School Communities
The leadership vision for Sunday School
is that we would develop more intently,
not merely classes--as important as
teaching is--but into Sunday School
communities, where we not only learn
God's Word together, but share our
thoughts, hearts, prayers and lives with
one another. Please pray over one of
the three offered communities and commit
to one for the sake of Covenant and the
glory of Christ.

Mercy Uganda Update
The next mission team will be
visiting Uganda June 8th - 22nd and
will be addressing many educational
and medical needs. Please keep the
team in your prayers as they prepare
and minister during this trip.
If you would like to learn more
about what Mercy Uganda is doing,
please visit their website at:
www.mercyuganda.org
Also, Tastefully Simple
is graciously conducting a
fundraiser for Mercy Uganda. You may
shop on line all month, but on
Friday, April 23rd from 1:00 to 3:00
pm you are invited to come to the
church portable office and sample
goodies from Tastefully
Simple. When you
purchase from Mercy Uganda's party
we both benefit ~ you get really
delicious and simple to prepare
food, and we raise funds and
awareness for Mercy Uganda's work
with women and children. For
on-line shopping, go to
www.tastefullysimple.com/web/kstrickland
, and select Mercy Uganda
as the host prior to check out
(Mercy is the first name and Uganda
is the last).
We thought you might enjoy seeing
some of the fruit of the Mercy
Uganda ministry. This is Ester and
Kalisto, 2 Karamajong orphans who
recently got a sponsor for school.
They are holding a thank you
note and you can see the school
supplies they received as a gift
from their sponsor. They will be
returning to school after Easter
with their new supplies.
Thank you to all who support this
ministry with your prayers and
finances. It's a real blessing to
see the concrete evidence of the
faithfulness of God's people.
Finally, we have begun a project
to provide washable and re-usable
feminine hygiene products for ladies
in Uganda. If you have any sewing
skills and are interested in
learning more about this project,
please contact
Laura Knetzer.

And Finally...
Friendly Reminder
When using any of
the church facilities,
but especially the
Fellowship Hall or
Kitchen, please remember
to clean up after
yourself. In the
kitchen, please wash,
dry and put away
all pots and utensils.
Remember the kitchen is
used daily and no one
wants to walk into
someone else's mess.
Thanks for your help.
Cleaning for a Reason
If you know any woman
currently undergoing
chemotherapy, please pass
the word to her that there
is a cleaning service that
provides FREE housecleaning
- 1 time per month for 4
months while she is in
treatment.
All she has to do is sign up
and have her doctor fax a
note confirming the
treatment. Cleaning
for a Reason will
have a participating maid
service in her zip code area
arrange for the service.
http://www.cleaningforareason.org/
Please pass this information
on to bless a woman going
through any form of cancer
treatment. This
organization serves the
entire USA and currently has
more than 600 partners to
help these women. It's our
job to pass the word and let
them know that there are
people out there that care.
Be a blessing to someone and
pass this information along.
