CONO CHRISTIAN SCHOOL CHOIR CONCERT
March 4th, 7:00 pm

The choir of Cono Christian School, a Christian boarding and day school from Iowa, will perform at Covenant Presbyterian Church at 2350 Frankford Ave., Panama City on Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. The public is invited.

The 50-member choir, which sings nationally each year, sings a full range of sacred songs, from gospel music, spirituals, and hymns, to classical choir selections.

The choir's season extends through May of 2008. The choir will travel to Missouri, Tennessee, the Carolinas and Georgia in March on a 12-day tour. They will sing 24 times this year, with more than a dozen concerts in Iowa.

The Cono Choir has been performing since the school began in 1951.  In recent years, it has sung in 38 states, including at state capitol buildings, at the 7,000-member Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Florida, and at the Moody Church in Chicago, besides singing before hundreds of congregations.  In Iowa, the choir visits local churches and other venues.

Cono Christian School is a Christian boarding and college preparatory school in Walker, Iowa.  Its boarding students have come from nearly every state in the U.S. and from more than a dozen foreign countries.

PresWIC RETREAT
Blue Springs Assembly, March 7th & 8th

We're excited to report that 17 of our women (from college age to seniors) have signed up to participate in the retreat at Blue Springs on March 7-8!    The retreat begins at suppertime on Friday and ends with lunch on Saturday, so it's less than 24 hours from beginning to end.

This is a wonderful opportunity to hear a fabulous writer and popular speaker.    Carolyn has authored over 75 books and plans to speak on her 2006 release Praying: Finding Our Way Through Duty to Delight which she authored with J. I. Packer.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT JUNIOR YOUTH NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Do you have any LARGE GALLON GLASS PICKLE JARS cluttering up your  pantry?  The Junior Youth Group needs quite a few in the next several weeks.

NEW HEADMASTER FOR CCSRick Robertson

The school committee and session are pleased that Mr. Rick Robertson has accepted the call to serve as the headmaster of Covenant Christian
School. He and his wife, Patti, will be joining us the first week of  May so that Rick may start to establish relationships with the church and school communities and ensure a smooth transition with the current administration.

God has blessed us by answering our prayers for a new headmaster who has years of administrative experience and a strong financial background.

Please pray for Rick and Patti as they prepare to move to our area.  Pray specifically for the sale of their house.
