Operation
Christmas Child
2010
This is
the fourteenth
year Covenant
has participated
in the
Samaritan's
Purse
"Operation
Christmas
Child,"
the shoe box
project. The
project began in
1993 and our
Ladies' Sunday
School Class
first
participated in
1997. In 1998,
the entire
church began to
participate. In
2004 a number of
Covenant School
classes joined
as well.
Here is our
history
1997 - 22 boxes
1998 - 51 boxes
1999 - 43 boxes
2000 - 54 boxes
2001 - 61 boxes
2002 - 119 boxes
2003 - 161 boxes
2004 - 141 boxes
2005 - 174 boxes
2006 - 141 boxes
2007 - 71
boxes
2008 - 111 boxes
2009 - 113
boxes
There is still
plenty of time
between now and
the collection
deadline of
November 21st.
It would be
wonderful if
every Covenant
family would
take part in
this opportunity
and prepare a
shoe box ~ or
even several.
Complete
instructions are
available in
brochures in the
back of the
sanctuary
together with
some shoe boxes
if you do not
already have
one. Also unused
children's
worship
bulletins have
been saved
throughout this
year and you are
encouraged to
put six of them
in each box.
