Wednesday Night Program Resumes

Wednesday, September 12th
Our Wednesday program will resume with activies and classes for all ages.  Laura Knetzer is working on the meal program and is in need of groups of individuals that are willing to help prepare the meal once or twice during the year.  Contact Laura for more information at 265-2752 or
mlknetzer@comcast.net.

Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study

Lamar Allen will begin a study on Wednesday night in the Sanctuary beginning September 12th from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.  He will be utilizing the R. C. Sproul video series, "Knowing Scripture".  Plan on coming for dinner and fellowship and staying for this excellent Bible study!

Wednesday Night Children's Program

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 12th as we travel back in time to study Church History.  We will begin a study of HIS Story as we look at the lives of the "cloud of witnesses" that have gone before us such as Polycarp, the Waldenses, Hus, Martin Luther, Knox, and Calvin to just name a few. We will also enjoy some hands-on activities, memory work, and enjoy some time of fellowship.  All children ages K4-6th grade are welcome.  We will begin at 6:30 and end at 8:00.  Mary Vickie Taws and Janis Hopper are looking forward to working with our Covenant Children.  Make plans for your children to join them!
Wednesday Youth Choir
Youth Choir Begins

Covenant Youth Choir will begin its 15th year on Wednesday, September 12 at 4:45 p.m.  All students in grades 7-12 are invited to join us for 75 minutes of rehearsal each week.

The choir usually sings for morning worship at Covenant once a month and plans for an annual tour at the end of the school year.  In addition, we hope to be able to schedule other performances as opportunities arise.  Last year's tour took the choir through 10 states to and from Colorado Springs and included an awesome trip down Pikes's Peak and through the Royal Gorge.  Don't miss out on this year's fun as we sing and travel together!

Thursday Morning Ladies Bible Study

The Thursday morning Ladies' Bible study will resume meeting weekly on September 13th at 11:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.  They will be studying R. C. Sproul's book, "Now That's a Good Question" which is a compilation of over 300 questions that have been asked of Dr. Sproul throughout his ministry.  Some of the topics include Knowing God,  The Book of Books,  The Power and Purpose of Prayer, Heaven and Hell, Sharing the Faith, Marriage and Family, Career Issues, Money Matters, and  Lifestyle Ethics. Each week will stand alone which makes it easy to come and go if you can't commit to a weekly study.  For more information contact Nancy Jinks at 769-2467 or ladynag@bellsouth.net or Martha Middleton, 763-3620 or mamiddleton@knology.net .

New Sunday School Classes

College & Career Class Begins

Bruce Taws will begin a new class on September 16th in Room 204 for the college/career aged group.  The topic is "Difficult Questions of Faith in Today's Even More Difficult World."  Contact Bruce for more details.

Inquirer's & Communicant's Class

Pastor Hayes will begin a New Members Class and a Communicants Class on Sunday, September 9th. The New members class will meet at 9:20 am and the communicants class at 5:15 pm. Both classes will meet in the Conference Room.

The New Members class is for those new to Covenant and who want to learn more about the church.  The Communicants class is for children who have not made public profession of faith but would like to do so and prepare for receiving communion.

Please let Pastor Hayes know of your interest in either of these classes. Bhayes409@aol.com or 769-7448 x13.
